All baskets are woven on a left/right grid. Only master weaver can transform that strict construction in the lyric swirls of our Savona baskets. Thickly strands of twisted banana bark give these baskets structural integrity. A natural bleaching process reveals the uniform golden tone of the banana twine. These are containers worthy of a museum display, but they are still practical containers for kindling, textiles, books, toys and plants.
