The craftsmen of Utter Pradesh, India have been hand cutting, sorting and dying the water buffalo bone for centuries. Imagine, these handles must be assembled from a series of coin shaped concentric cylinders of bone that each must perfectly match but at a slightly smaller diameter. We dye them in shades of blue gray. No handle pattern precisely matches another but the generally consistent tone lends the handles a matching feel. Spreaders sold to match.
