While I can’t say I’ve ever heard of LA chef, Ludo, his study remodel has me wanting to know more, but how does Elle Decor publish an article about a chef’s home and not show a single pic of his kitchen?!  Come on Elle!

The hotel, if you can even call it something as simple as that, markets itself as an adult-only eco resort and Mayan spa. Let me try to break down for you what that means. First of all, the building style is inspired by the ancient Mayan construction techniques and has what they call an organic architecture. That means, it has been built with respect to the surrounding nature, in order to disturb and destroy as little as possible of the plants and wildlife. If you haven’t guessed it already, this is a treehouse village. Furthermore, there is hardly any electronics and modern-day equipment like showers. The reason for that is not only to save powers, but also to make you completely relaxed.

I’ve developed a pretty big crush on boho bedrooms (just look at our Pinterest).  Here’s a bit of a how-to while also just providing some eye-candy for this spirited modern design (see what I did there?).

Who would not secretly want a beautiful cliff-side sea-view retreat in the heart of nature, located in the market town Sanderfjord in Norway. An impeccable renovation carried out by the architectural studio Lund Hagem. Marrying the relief of the rocks wonderfully in the greatest respect of the surrounding nature, this cabin of 30 m ² is simply lightning.

According to Aqua Magazine, demand for tiny pools is growing big-time. The reason? Folks these days are spending more on their outdoor spaces overall. They want alfresco living rooms. And pizza ovens. And firepits and surround sound systems and elevated landscaping. By putting in a pocket-sized pool, homeowners save major initial buckage, which can then be put toward other amenities. (Or, for the more fiscally responsible, saved.)
